My stay at Estancia de La Mantilla was lovely, but it wasn't exactly what I had envisioned. The suite turned out to be two bedrooms connected by a hallway without the sitting room I anticipated. However, the common areas were beautiful and well-decorated, making for a comfortable environment. The breakfast was decent but could benefit from some more options, and Wi-Fi was spotty throughout the property. Overall, while there were some areas for improvement, I enjoyed my time there.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were comfortable but smaller than I expected, and not having Wi-Fi in the rooms was inconvenient. The air conditioning worked well, but there was an open portal that invited mosquitoes in, which could be a nuisance.
Service
7.0
Service was attentive, and the staff was friendly, though the language barrier made it challenging to communicate effectively about certain requests.
Location
9.0
The hotel is perfectly located within walking distance of many attractions in the old city, making it easy to explore the area. However, some common areas lacked airflow, which made them stifling at times.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was acceptable with a selection of fresh fruit and eggs, but I found it could be improved with traditional Colombian options and flexibility in service hours.
Facilities
8.0
The common areas, including the library and rooftop pools, were delightful, but the lack of air conditioning in many of these spaces made them uncomfortable during certain times.

I had a wonderful time at this charming hotel located in the heart of Old Town. The room was cozy and had everything I needed, including fantastic air conditioning, which was a blessing after coming from a cooler climate. The beautiful colonial architecture added to the experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed the view from the terrace. There were a couple of minor issues with Wi-Fi, but overall, the hotel offered great value for my stay.

Location

Situated in an excellent part of Old Town, the location allowed me to explore many local attractions on foot, which was incredibly convenient.
Dining

Breakfast was great, served in a lovely dining area. However, the early start time of 8 AM made it difficult for me to enjoy all morning, especially when I had day trips planned.
Facilities

The hotel offered two small pools, including a private one associated with some rooms, which provided a nice retreat and was rarely crowded.

We had a lovely stay in this charming hotel that felt more like a grand house than a typical boutique. The atmosphere was both beautiful and calming, but there were a few hiccups with the communication due to the language barrier and some inconsistent Wi-Fi. The location was perfect for exploring, and we especially enjoyed the private pool, making it a great value for our time in Cartagena.

Rooms
8.0
We stayed in a cozy suite with two connected bedrooms, which was perfect for traveling with friends. The air conditioning worked well, making the space quite comfortable.
Service
6.0
The service had its ups and downs. While the staff was accommodating, the lack of English-speaking personnel made certain requests challenging.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is exceptional—only a block away from Cafe del Mar and within walking distance of all the major attractions in the walled city.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was decent with fresh fruit and eggs, but I wish there had been more variety like traditional Colombian options.
Facilities
9.0
The facilities were charming, with well-decorated common areas and a lovely private pool that we enjoyed several times a day.

I had a lovely stay at this charming hotel that felt more like a beautiful house than a typical hotel. The common areas were stunning, and the room was comfortable, but the so-called 'Junior Suite' was underwhelming and had a musty smell. Nevertheless, the Wi-Fi was unreliable, and the early morning noises were disruptive. Overall, it's a cute spot with a lot of character, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a spacious room or solid internet.

Rooms

The 'Junior Suite' was much smaller than expected and had a lingering musty odor, which was disappointing.

This charming hotel has a delightful atmosphere and a beautiful setting within Old Town. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but some noise issues and a lack of view can detract from the experience. Breakfast is enjoyable, though communication barriers might limit your options. Overall, it’s a wonderful value if you're looking for a cozy stay close to the heart of the city.

The rooms are clean and well-maintained, but they can be noisy and have limited views, facing the courtyard. Some guests might find the beds a bit hard.
